Better value for money - reduce costs for the public sector and businesses while ensuring that every pound spent on procurement contracts benefits public services.
More competition - opens public procurement to new entrants, such as small businesses and social enterprises, to encourage more competition and innovation.
Simpler bidding processes - simplifies bidding procedures to make it easier for suppliers to negotiate and work with the public sector.
Central digital platform - establishes a central digital platform for suppliers to register and store their details, which can be used for multiple bids.
More flexible commercial frameworks - makes commercial frameworks more flexible so that prospective suppliers are not shut out for long periods of time (i.e. 4 years).
