Essex County Council are inviting bidders for the next iteration of their framework for the provision of Live at Home Services in Essex. These are care and support services delivered in the person's home that are commonly recognised as Domiciliary Care.

These services include the provision of personal care within the home and associated tasks in relation to the care objectives required to leave the adult and their home in a fit state of occupation.

This will be a two-tier framework, split across the 12 Essex borough/districts with one borough/district per lot:

Lots (Districts)

  • Basildon

  • Braintree

  • Brentwood

  • Castle Point

  • Chelmsford

  • Colchester

  • Epping Forest

  • Harlow

  • Maldon

  • Rochford

  • Tendring

  • ·Uttlesford

 Tier 1 providers:

  • Must be rated by the CQC as ‘Good’ overall as a minimum.

  • Must also be able to evidence a minimum financial turnover of £290,000 per annum

  • Must be registered to personal care to Adults

 Tier 2 providers:

  • Tier 2 providers will be required to have a CQC rating of Requires Improvement overall as a minimum.

  • Bidders with a registered CQC location that is unrated can still apply, however – they will be suspended from the framework and therefore not receive any referrals until their CQC rating is published.

  • No minimum turnover required
